How this works
What happens to your statement, step by step.
We never connect to your bank.
There is no bank login and no ongoing access to your account. You download a statement from your bank yourself, as a CSV file, and choose it on the upload screen.
The file is read in this browser tab.
Your browser opens the file and works through the rows on your computer. The rows are not uploaded — there is no upload step in the code for them to go through. While you review, what you've ticked is kept in this browser's storage on this computer, so you can leave and come back. It is not sent to us.
We store only what you confirm.
If you make an account, we save the subscriptions you ticked: the name, the price, how often it charges, when it's next due, and any price changes we found for it. Nothing you didn't tick, and no individual transaction from your file. You can delete any of it, or your whole import, from your subscriptions page.
We never ask for your streaming passwords.
We don't log into your accounts, and nothing in SubSavvi asks for a password to one.
What we count.
We count how many people reach each step, so we can tell where this is confusing. If you give a guess of what you spend, we record the guess and the total next to it — sent without your name, your email or anything that links it back to you.
We don't sell what you tell us.
Your subscriptions and watchlist are used to make your recommendations. We don't sell them, and no streaming service pays us to keep you subscribed.
